9/17/13 The South Hillsborough CHMA will be conducting a coordinated spray for psyllid control. There will be a helicopter available to aid in the application process of the coordinated spray. The coordinated spray will begin within the next 2 weeks. When a confirmed date for the start of the spray is set another notification will be sent out.

The Mode of action for this spray will be an organophosphate (dimethoate, lorsban, imidan). Growers can choose any material that they wish but are encouraged to use an organophosphate. The application method to be used is determined by each grower. In order to achieve area wide control of psyllids it is critical to have all groves sprayed within 2 weeks of the start of the spray. To join the coordinated effort contact Grower Coordinator Louis Haverlock or Brandon Page (UF – IFAS)

If you would like to utilize the helicopter contact Louis Haverlock or Jed Weeks with CPS.
