Use these tips for additional help in finding UF electronic publications
Finding Full-Text Articles
One way to get to electronic journals is to use the Journals/Serials section of the University of Florida On-Line Catalog
- Type in the journal title in the " Browse Organized Lists" box.
- If there is an electronic copy available it will show on the listing as "Connect Now" or show a hyperlink
- If a window appears asking for username password, you may be looking for an issue that is not available. See the E-Journals FAQ
- This approach will also give you the listing of all the libraries that own that title. Lake Alfred Included.
- This will be useful if there is no electronic access.
Another approach is to use the start page of the UF On-Line Catalog
- At the top of the page (in the orange bar) there is a e-journals link E-Journal Locator
- This page will give several options on locating journals with electronic access.
At times you can connect directly to the journal website and access issues. If UF has a subscription and if the vendor recognizes our Internet Provider (IP) address. You may also be able to connect through a third party such as Highwire at Stanford . In general, the best results are through the University of Florida catalogs.
