Electropenetrography (EPG)

2024 International Electropenetrography (EPG) Conference

The 2024 EPG Conference will be held for the second time at the University of Florida’s Citrus Research and Education Center in Lake Alfred, Florida, USA from January 29 - February 2, 2024. The International EPG Conference is an interdisciplinary meeting of researchers from all areas of entomology, plant pathology, veterinary, and medical sciences who use (or are interested in using) EPG for their research on piecing-sucking plant- or blood-feeding arthropods.  It will facilitate exchange of ideas and foster collaboration across disciplines to participate in the recent explosion of research opportunities with EPG.  A call for abstracts will be posted by July 1, 2023, from among which scientists will be chosen to present 10 minute talks or posters.  In addition, an invited Keynote address will be presented for each day of the meeting.

To complement the workshop, two in-person tutorial days will be held in conjunction with the conference. On Monday and Friday of the conference week we will offer optional, hands-on assistance in insect wiring (Monday) and statistical analysis (Friday), with the bulk of the meeting on Tuesday through Thursday.
